The following items are included in the participants’ registration fee:
Attendance at all sessions, final programme, abstract book, lunches, coffee/tea in breaks during conference days, Cocktails, City Hall reception and Conference Dinner.
On-site Registration
Registration 48 hours or less before the Conference will be considered as on-site registration. Consequently, participants registering less than 48 hours before the Conference must anticipate minor delays at the registration desk in connection with issuing of documentation and settlement of accounts.
Participants must register at the Conference Bureau (see opening hours above) upon arrival at the Conference. Please remember to bring your confirmation of participation with your participant number.
Payment must be made in Danish Kroner (DKK) to the order of eCAADe 2004, c/o DIS Congress Service Copenhagen A/S and remitted as follows:

IMPORTANT: Please remember to state eCAADe and participant’s name on all money transfers to the Conference Bureau.
Cancellation of participation (a written request is mandatory)
Pre-registered participants who are unable to attend the Conference will have their paid fees refunded less a processing fee of DKK 400 provided written notice of non-attendance (by letter or fax) is received by the Conference Bureau before 1. September 2004. If cancellation is made after this date no refund of fee can be expected. All refunds will be processed after the Conference.
Accommodation
The Conference Bureau offers hotel accommodation at specially reduced Conference prices. Delegates who want to book hotel accommodation should indicate the preferred hotel category on the hotel reservation form enclosed. Reservations will only be valid after the deposit has been received. Please note that reservations are made on a first-come-first-served basis at the time of receipt of deposit payment (per room) by the Conference Bureau. If the category of your choice is not available at the time of booking, the closest alternative will be allocated.

Scandic Hotel Copenhagen****Scandic Hotel Copenhagen is located in the heart of Copenhagen, close to the Tivoli Gardens, and the pedestrian shopping street “Strøget”. The 18th floor hotel has 486 rooms and a view over one of the 3 lakes in Copenhagen. For guest arriving by car the hotel has space for a vast number of cars in a parking basement nearby from the hotel. The price for parking is approx. DKK 70 per day.

Ibis Copenhagen Crown Hotel*** Copenhagen Crown Hotel is situated is located in the heart of Copenhagen with Tivoli Gardens and the main railway station with the airport shuttle are only a few hundred metres away. The entrance to the hotel is through a beautiful and quiet courtyard. Our 78 classic and tastefully decorated rooms all have mini-bar, cable TV, telephone and bathroom with hairdryer. Non-smoking rooms are offered. Every morning a wide-variety Scandinavian breakfast buffet is served in our top floor restaurant overlooking the rooftops of Copenhagen. Level B |

Cab Inn Scandinavia*** Cab Inn Scandinavia is located centrally in Copenhagen at Frederiksberg near the Lakes and Forum, just ten minutes walk from the Central Railway Station, Tivoli Gardens and "Strøget" - Copenhagen's fashionable pedestrian shopping area. The hotel has 201 rooms, all furnished as luxury cabins, with a maximum capacity of up to 4 persons in the same room. 25 rooms are especially designed for wheelchair users. All rooms have private bath, toilet, television and telephone, as well as electric kettle with free tea and coffee. Free wireless Internet (hot-spot) in the lobby area, and free guest computer. Deposit
Reservations of hotel rooms must be backed up by a deposit payment – by
credit card - of DKK 1,250 for rooms in level A, and DKK 705 for rooms
in level B. The deposit serves as a guarantee to the hotel for the first
night and will be deducted from the participants’ hotel bill upon
check-out.
In case of cancellation or changes: Before 9 July, 2004 the deposit will be refunded - less a hotel-processing fee of DKK 400; In case of late cancellation or changes after 9 July, 2004 or in case of no-show, where DIS is not able to allocate the room to another guest, DIS is authorised to charge the credit card for the full amount related to the entire hotel stay and this amount is NOT limited to the deposit only.
All bookings will be made on a first-come first served basis after receipt of hotel deposit, as long as DIS has rooms in conference allotment.
A new railway from Copenhagen Airport lets you catch a direct train every 20 minutes to Copenhagen Central Railway Station. You can find this connection on the ground floor of Terminal 3. The train takes you to Copenhagen Central Railway Station in just 12 minutes. From there you take bus no. 48 direction Refshaleøen.
Or take the Harbour Bus 901/902. The Harbour Bus arrives 100 meter from the conference site.
Liability and Insurance
Neither the Organizers (eCAADe) nor the Conference Bureau will assume any responsibility whatsoever for damage or injury to persons or property during the Conference.
Participants are recommended to arrange for their personal travel and health insurance.
Climate
The weather in Denmark in September is normally very pleasant, usually sunny. However, on occasion an umbrella may be useful. Daytime average temperature is around 180C, evening temperature around 100C.
Banks
Normal banking hours are from 09:30 to 16:00 hrs. Monday to Friday. On Thursdays banking hours are extended to 18:00 hrs. Extended banking facilities are available at Copenhagen Central Railway Station 7 days/week between 07:00 and 21:00 hrs. There are automatic cash dispensers, usually located in connection with a bank branch, which accept a variety of international credit cards. The cards accepted are indicated on the dispenser.
Shops
The shops are open from 09:30/10:00 to 17:30/18:00 hrs. Monday to Friday. A few department stores in the city have longer opening hours. On Saturdays the shops are open until 13:00/14:00 hrs. but are closed on Sundays.
Tips
Tips are always included in the prices given in taxies and restaurants.
Electricity
Electricity is supplied at 230 volts A/C, 50 Hz cycle.

The Organizers reserve the right to adjust or change the programme as necessary.

Drinks and snacks will be served at The School of Architecture, where you can spend a few nice hours together with friends.

The reception is hosted by the City Council of Copenhagen and will take place at the City Hall. All Conference participants are invited. If you wish to attend the City Hall reception you will receive a personal invitation from the Lord Mayer of Copenhagen.
Please note that the reception will start punctually at 19:00 hrs.

After 20 minutes by boat you arrive at the old seafort, which lies at the entrance to Copenhagen Harbour. The foundation of the seafort was laid in 1786, and it was thanks to Trekroner and stationed 66 cannons and 18 naval vesels, that the British fleet in 1801 was not able to enter Copenhagen Harbour. Nowadays the island is open for visitors. A maritime will be served in the commandat’s house/casemate blocks.
If you wish to have an accompanying person with you, extra tickets can be bought at a price of DKK 700,- per person.
