Announcement
Free-of-charge workshop around the BIM and parametric concept of “Revit Architecture” on eCAADe , 25th September, hosted by FH Wiesbaden/FH Frankfurt.
General description
Revit technology is Autodesk’s platform for building information modeling. The Revit Architecture software is a complete, discipline-specific building design and documentation system supporting all phases of design and construction documentation. The workshop gives an introduction to the BIM concept of Revit and specifically touches the “Parametric Components” modeling abilities with intricate, iterative, algorithmic, and behavioral characteristics and the “ Revit Building Maker” as a flexible and responsive conceptual modeling and design environment. Like no other software tool, it allows for a cumulative understanding of the relationship between expressive, conceptual shapes and built form as the design develops. The designer independently develops conceptual models and maps them to building model components as the design progresses. The designer works fluidly between the conceptual model and the building model, capturing both design intent and detail at the moment of conceptualization.
