2005 Prize-winners, eCAADe Lisbon:

Axel Kilian, Dipl.-Ing., SMArchS

After receiving his Architectural degree at the University of the Arts Berlin in 1998, Axel Kilian came to MIT for a Master of Science on a Fulbright scholarship in 2000. Since 2001 he has been a Ph.D. student in the Computation group in the Department of Architecture at MIT and focuses on the application of programming in Design. Axel Kilian has co-taught a number of workshops and as a TA, a design studio, with the focus on parametric and generative tools in the Architecture Department of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

  eCAADe 2004

Agnieszka Sowa

Agnieszka Sowa is an assistant at the Chair of CAD at Bialystok Technical University, Poland. She is also a PhD student at Warsaw University of Technology, Poland. She is cooperating with TT&B architecture office as a freelance designer.

Her research interest concerns computer-aided generation of forms and structures, production with CNC machines in architecture as well as CAD teaching problems. She received a Master's degree in Architecture from the Bialystok Technical University in 2002. Since 2004 she has also been a holder of a Master of Advanced Studies degree in Computer-Aided Architectural Design obtained from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich.
